JordanRoberts Posted February 24 Posted February 24 I composed a choral piece a while back and decided to arrange it for strings. Here is the thread for the vocal part: Enjoy! Quote
PeterthePapercomPoser Posted March 25 Posted March 25 From what I'm hearing, you're using Musescore 3 or the MS Basic soundfonts to render this piece. I think you would have achieved a much better rendition if you had used Musescore 4 and Musesounds as the strings sound much smoother and less grating there. I think that it is great that you're staying connected to your old works though! There are some pauses in the leading melodic line that didn't sound intentional enough and (dare I say!) kind of random (such as at 2:37 for example - and the pause also sounded like it lasted a bit too long for my taste). Although I'm sure that can be accounted for by the fact that this was originally a choral work. My impression of that could also be greatly improved with the addition of some reverb (which MS4 and Musesounds can also help with). Thanks for sharing! Peter Quote
