Hi all, This is one of my recent compositions. After listening Henry Purcell's "two in one upon a ground" i wanted to compose something similar. This has time signature 3/4 and it is canon form, the second voice plays almost same notes few bars later than first voice but there are some slight changes so the second voice can fit to the harmony of first voice. In A second voice is 4 bars behind and in B it is 8 bars behind. Structure is ABA. The name is "un canone complesso" or "complex canon" (i used translator) )since it does not sound traditional canon that has good harmony but the harmonies are more complex. Two players playing same thing may also make my mind to compare first and second voice - that is something that happens in the mind, not in the music sheet or in the actual music being played. That effect may allow breaks in the harmony also. I was thinking a moment that this is not good piece that there are only two voices repeating same theme without good harmony between them. But then i thought that the relation between voices can be more complex than that and also mind has a role in interpreting the piece. But i might change the second voice to play something different that supports the first line after the introduction.

I made two versions:

-Duetto version that has some fermatas. Its played by electric piano and piano.Tempo 104

-Pop version that has also third line (harp) in B and guitar line that i made to be more rythmical. There are also electric guitars playing chords some of the time. In B the first and second lines are played by different instruments than in A. The beginning and ending of A and B are slightly different than in duetto version. This version could have slightly faster tempo. It is now 112 (EDIT)
