Study for string quartet #7

Recommended Posts

Hi 🙂

I present you here my 7th study for string quartet.

There are more obvious theme structure in it, but also, and I hope that @PeterthePapercomPoser won't resent me to much for this, you'll see parallel octaves in it (see other post Study for string quartet #6).

It's rather gentle and composed in a happy mood 🙂

Also, you'll see playback marks on the score (for audio) : I hope this won't bother you to much if you read it.

Regards,

Marc

Hello yet again @Marc Deflin!

I don't think the octave doublings in this are too extravagant.  I do notice a cool idea you use in this is canonic imitation which is one of my favorite melodic/contrapuntal devices!  I think this rendition could be improved if the balance between some of the instruments was better.  Sometimes I can barely hear some of the accompanying voices and it seems like you've brought those parts down in loudness deliberately.  Thanks for sharing!
