Help(Using my own style)

I have been hearing about styles such as the style and characteristics that Beethoven or Mozart or Schubert had that was unique to them. I have been thinking about developing my own in my compositions. I want to write in a sort of Schubertian style with mixing romantic and classical/mozart style like he did. But I also don’t want to sound like I am trying to mimic him. What do I do?

I think at an early stage of writing it would be beneficial to have some great composers to imitate with, as this helps you attain basic writing skill quicker. Once getting more skilful in composing, you can start thinking on your own style. I think the basis of having your own style is to have something unique you wanna talk to the world, and those words can only be expressed in your own sound.
