Cafebabe Posted August 18 Posted August 18 I don't know if I'm going to finish it, so I decided to upload it anyways. Quote
PeterthePapercomPoser Posted August 22 Posted August 22 Hi @Cafebabe! I don't know how to interpret what I'm hearing sometimes. I think you're trying to write in the classical style, so I come to listen to this piece with certain musical expectations. Like, usually, music of the classical era is thematic. But your symphony attempt here is very often an a-thematic jumble of scales, trills and tremolos that don't seem to be grounded with any kind of musical purpose that I've come to expect from classical era music. Of course there are other styles of music where these kinds of elements can stand on their own and that's fine. I'm just confused whether you're aware that you're straying from classical style or whether you're deliberately going in another direction with it. Although, on the whole, it's still enjoyable to me. Thanks for sharing! Quote
