August 21, 20241 yr Greetings to everyone. "Hymn to the Virgin Mary " is my first attempt at writing sacred choral music. It is influenced by rich orthodox heritage, and also by the choral music of Arvo Part, and Alfred Schnittke. It is written for eight voices and textures are rich in diatonic clusters that add depth to triadic harmonies at the core. If someone is interested in sheet music, feel free to reach out to me.
August 26, 20241 yr Beautiful. It's hard for me to remove myself from the wonderful Bogoroditse Devo by Rachmaninov, with its ancillary expectations, but once I did, I just let this wash over me, and I enjoyed it very much. Very nice performance too, by the way. It's so good to see new music being written for the Russian Orthodox liturgy again, after a more than a century of silence.
February 9, 20251 yr Bas je fino ovo! Vrlo moderno cuo sam nekoliko bas popularnih kompozitora danasnjih da se zanimaju za slicne harmonije! A jedno samo da predlozim, ako zelis da nesto bude u 8 glasova ili mnogo, a traje duze od kratkih liturgijskih odgovora na primer, bilo bi dobro da variras gustinu tokom trajanja: recimo ako pocinje iz mnogo? na pola svedi u jedan ili manje od 3 na primer... i obrnuto sto vise "razlicitih" faktora takvih izbalansiras bolje ce biti za uho (to nisam rekao ja to mozes naci u dobrom jednom udzbeniku) a to ti spominjem zato sto mi se cini da konstantno ima 6 vv posle uvoda... PS odlican prilaz najvisoj noti!
