Gabriel Carlisle Posted October 7, 2024 Posted October 7, 2024 (edited) mainly the orchestration is what im concerned about. It sounds great to me but what about some more experienced ears? Any tips would be great! I feel i've made so much progress lately in composing! The last few bars arent composed all the way yet. Henry Ng Tsz Kiu Posted October 8, 2024 Posted October 8, 2024 Hi @Gabriel Carlisle, For me it sounds effective and good! For me it is exciting! Only all the Bb should be written as A#. PeterthePapercomPoser Posted December 16, 2024 Posted December 16, 2024 Hey @Gabriel Carlisle! What your music seems to remind me of on a seemingly consistent basis (maybe because you do this consistently) is how good music can be even if it's mostly just based on line cliches and pedal points. Perhaps your Romantic influence is showing since Tchaikovsky loved line cliches and pedal points and they're the secret behind the complex chromaticism in his music. This is a very dramatic and exciting introduction! I love the main theme and the way you've harmonized it really works in my opinion. I hope you keep going! Thanks for sharing. Quote
