Saigai Go.pdf

This is a piece that was originally Edin's Piano solo composition. With his direct approval, I wanted to give it some color, and this is what I came up with 🙂
It may be rough around the edges in terms of its grammatical correctness, as I wrote this one some months ago, as I were re-learning things in the music theory realm of things. Go easy on meh I was rusteh xD

Hi @UncleRed99!

I love this piece!  It's damp and full of emotion in a very nonchalant way which I think is a characteristic feature of music from Japan and China informed by Western music.  It's nice and bittersweet like something out of an Anime.  I don't hear anything about the piece that sounds rusty or flawed in any way.  I love the saxophone!  It's just overflowing with passion and/or sadness.  It's one of those pieces that's a bit emotionally ambiguous as emotions sometimes tend to be.  The harmony suggests melancholy but the melodic contour suggests hope.  It's also very well produced and the rendition is excellent!  Congrats on an excellent collaboration and thanks for sharing!

A wonderful work. It really is emotional and that is, for me, one of the most important things.
The inclusion of the alto saxophone seems to me to be very successful.

I agree. When I heard that saxophone part in my head, a little tear welled up in each eye. I love my brain sometimes. 😅
