mercurypickles Posted November 14 Posted November 14 This piece is very nice, it is very dramatic and expressive, but the engraving needs some work. Make sure you do not beam over beat groupings unnecessarily, like in the attached screenshot. You would also do well to avoid putting tempo indications at the ends of systems, which occurs repeatedly. Quote
Luis Hernández Posted November 16 Posted November 16 An interesting and beautiful work. It sounds contemporary but totally accessible. Perhaps making it easier to listen to there would be some more commentary. It's as simple as dragging the pdf and mp3 files into the message window. Quote

Aw Ke Shen Posted December 15 Posted December 15 (edited) I like the blend of contemporary influence alongside traditional forms and structures here. Relate to how @Luis Hernández described how this On 11/16/2024 at 5:14 PM, Luis Hernández said: sounds contemporary but totally accessible. Thks for sharing! Edited December 15 by Aw Ke Shen Quote
Henry Ng Tsz Kiu Posted December 16 Posted December 16 Hi @Ho Sen Ken, The piece despite sounds post tonal, is motivically tight with the opening motive. Apart from what @Luis Hernández has recommended by attaching the pdf and mp3, you can also add some commentarites and description on your pieces for other members to know the background of it! Thx for sharing. Henry Quote
