Markus Boyd Posted November 4 Posted November 4 (edited) Hello, Thought I would share my latest work on this site. It is baroque... well sort of. It certainly starts that way, but I tend to experiment a little in the development section particularly. I would like to hear what others' think, whether it all hangs together well. I am quite pleased with it, although feel the end could be strengthened somewhat. https://musescore.com/user/69480886/scores/21582616?fbclid=IwY2xjawGWJ6lleHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHeNUdrVQGEgy90N_5lHmQbv8ilNVtpJ1AO_uyDPsiUO8hZvIbRE8NEe2vw_aem_tXcb7Kla6S2gw7gwODAioA Edited November 4 by Markus Boyd 1 Quote
Luis Hernández Posted November 5 Posted November 5 Hello A very nice sounding piece of work, and well done. Balance and plays of counterpoint and etc.... Sounds very much in the galant style. Quote
PeterthePapercomPoser Posted November 22 Posted November 22 Hello again @Markus Boyd! I really enjoyed the music! The only thing that bothers me is the default repeats of each of the sections of the piece. I think this is especially unnecessary at the very end of the piece where the listener is fooled into believing the piece is over only to be rewound back to the development section. For me, the piece should only end once. Overall though, a very enjoyable piece! Thanks for sharing. 1 Quote
Simen-N Posted November 22 Posted November 22 I love it!, as you say its baroque, but not quite. Either way, i really love it! Great work! 🙂 1 Quote
Kvothe Posted November 22 Posted November 22 As other have mentioned, it's a clearly well written. Interplay with the boucy reeds makes a fun piece. bravo. 1 Quote

Yes, unfortunately, I don't know how to make the ritardando effective after the section repeat only. And you're right, the repeats are unnecessary. 1 Quote
