Hello,

Thought I would share my latest work on this site. It is baroque... well sort of. It certainly starts that way, but I tend to experiment a little in the development section particularly.

I would like to hear what others' think, whether it all hangs together well. I am quite pleased with it, although feel the end could be strengthened somewhat.

Hello again @Markus Boyd!

I really enjoyed the music!  The only thing that bothers me is the default repeats of each of the sections of the piece.  I think this is especially unnecessary at the very end of the piece where the listener is fooled into believing the piece is over only to be rewound back to the development section.  For me, the piece should only end once.  Overall though, a very enjoyable piece!  Thanks for sharing.

Thanks. Yes, unfortunately, I don't know how to make the ritardando effective after the section repeat only. And you're right, the repeats are unnecessary.

Hey @Markus Boyd,

I don't know why I miss reviewing this piece LoL. I like your piece! It's so humorous and each instrument has their chance to bring out the melody. I like your modulation to C minor in the development section very much.

I think you can add more slurs for the winds since it denotes the tonguing for them, unless you want all the notes played with a too tongue. Another thing is that I think the flute does not have to be always at the top. The oboe and clarinet and takes the highest note with their distinctive timbre! I always love the squeezing sound of clarino clarinet and the hgh oboe! The low register of flute is distinctive as well.

A clarinet in A would be better than one in Bb for the sake for easier reading I guess?

Thx for sharing!

Henry
