Stelian Dumitrascu Posted November 8 Posted November 8 This message is primarily addressed to players interested in Baroque repertoire for unaccompanied violin. Six suites by Silvius Leopold Weiss are now available as violin transcriptions at: http://geocentral.net/music Each PDF file contains a brief Notes section, which I do encourage you to read. Although the scores have undergone several rounds of heavy editing, there might still be a tweak or two I would be tempted to apply as the suites now become part of my daily musical journey. The date of the latest revision can always be found on the web page above. I plan to go on for a while with this project, by including at least two more suites in minor keys. I have browsed the remaining suites in major keys and found them less persuasive for a potential audience who haven't thought of S.L.Weiss as a violin composer. Any questions and comments are very welcome. And please, do give the suites a try. You may find them a refreshing addition to the small, all too familiar, world of Baroque music for unaccompanied strings. Quote
