bkho Posted November 10 Posted November 10 I came up with this after messing around over the past couple weeks. It has some pretty sudden shifts in textures and harmony, just looking for opinions if there are areas that sound really off. UncleRed99 Posted November 10 Posted November 10 Personally, I think this is very well done, albeit short, it's got a good technicality to it, that could be used as a skill-check or audition piece for a pianist! Reading through this, and being an intermediate - amateur piano-player (I dare not call myself a pianist... lol I only know piano well enough to teach a grade school child how to read hot cross buns, place their hands properly, and play using both hands while reading both clefs. Other than that, my skills in piano are lacking, but I understand it, at least! lol) It appears to be very challenging, and on top of that, sounds like it would be a blast to play, once rehearsed properly. I don't see, off of a quick first-time read-through, anywhere that needs attention, from a technical stand point. I'm also an autodidact composer, so I may be overlooking some things, but all-in-all, I don't believe anyone reading this to play it would have a hard time comprehending what's written. I think you've done well 🙂 1 Quote
