AngelCityOutlaw Posted December 5 Posted December 5 I got sidetracked composing my new album, and did this arrangement of the classic opening song. Let me know what you guys think. Mocking up that sort of vocal melody with samples, with a lot of repeated notes, and where the singer deliberately isn't always on pitch and the lyrics are half-spoken is tough. 1 Quote
PeterthePapercomPoser Posted December 7 Posted December 7 Hey @AngelCityOutlaw! Glad to hear another one of your mock-ups/arrangements! The harmonization of the melodic line sounds totally natural and mimics the human voice really well, even though in the original version there is just a single singer without harmonization. I love your use of suspended sonorities that don't resolve (1:06). I am not entirely sure that the harmony is correct at 0:24 - I can't put my finger on it, but something seems off at that spot. Thanks for sharing! Quote
Quinn Posted December 10 Posted December 10 Well........excellent as usual. Always a very high standard music- and production-wise. A bit short, though, but as it's an arrangement..... 🙂 Quote
Thatguy v2.0 Posted December 11 Posted December 11 How are you so good. As I've said before, you have a way with crafting character in your music. Anyone would be lucky to hire you and have you work with their projects... best of luck in that and keep us updated as always. Also, You might not be allowed to post anymore, don't want to ruin that and all 1 Quote
