kaiyunmusic Posted January 3 Posted January 3 Hi everyone, this is a rather simple piece. I hope you enjoy ~ 1 Quote
Luis Hernández Posted January 3 Posted January 3 I liked it very much. Within its apparent simplicity, the motifs, phrases and variations are well elaborated. 1 Quote
Henry Ng Tsz Kiu Posted January 7 Posted January 7 HI @kaiyunmusic, I like the simplicity of the music. With the falling bass it makes me think of the great music by in the animation "Spirited Away" Thx for sharing! Henry 1 Quote
kaiyunmusic Posted January 7 Author Posted January 7 Thanks!! I'm glad you liked it! I want to compose more this year 😄 Quote
JorgeDavid Posted January 7 Posted January 7 I really enjoyed it. Specially I loved the way in which you avoided finishing the piece in m.31 and extended it for a few measures. I think it is really beautiful and well-crafted! Thanks for sharing! 1 Quote
PeterthePapercomPoser Posted Sunday at 02:07 AM Posted Sunday at 02:07 AM Hi @kaiyunmusic! Glad to see that you're finishing more of your pieces! Your music comes across as really really sweet. I think the pieces @Henry Ng Tsz Kiu referred to above by Joe Hisaishi are also great and something to delve into more if you want to get more into that kind of style. Also, if you haven't heard of the composer Takashi Yoshimatsu check out his "Waltz of the Rainbow Colored Roses" which I'll also link to here. We actually had a competition on this forum where everyone wrote variations on the main melody from this piece (even I wrote a variation for it!). Thanks for sharing! 1 Quote
