bkho Posted Thursday at 02:30 AM Posted Thursday at 02:30 AM Hi all, As the title says, this is some stuff I've dug up (some it quite old) that I started, made some decent progress but haven't finished. Hopefully I'll find time to get back to them so any thoughts are welcome. Farewell Overture - This is the oldest of the bunch, started when I was still in college, an early attempt at a symphonic work First movement for a String Quartet in D minor - my second attempt for a work for string ensemble, inspired by Schubert's Death and the Maiden Quartet Requiem - VI. Recordare - This is an unfinished version of the Recordare movement for my requiem, somewhat inspired by Pergolesi's Stabat Mater so it is involves duet with a soprano and mezzo-soprano Polka in F major - A silly throwaway piano piece A likely 3rd movement for a Violin Concerto in A minor - this is the most recent, but I hit a wall and left it for a few months but likely will prioritize to finish this. I feel like it's more inspired by Schubert's Rosamunde quartet with the texture of the accompaniment and the cantabile melody! Thx for sharing your draft and hope you will develop them! Henry 1 Quote
