Crackers Posted January 18 Posted January 18 Hi everyone, I’m new here! I’ve seen a few other pieces of music shared here, and it seems like the perfect place for me to join in. I’m a French student, and I’ve spent 12 years studying piano at a conservatory. Recently, I’ve started composing, and I feel confident enough about what I’ve created to share it with you. Right now, I don’t have anyone around for active listening, so I have no idea how to assess the quality of my compositions. I’d really appreciate honest feedback (whether it’s theoretical or just based on your feelings) to understand where I stand and how I can improve. I hope you will feel as much emotion listening to it as I did composing it 😀 Thank you in advance for your time and your insights! I don't know what style the song stand for. 1 Quote
General Pokopo Posted January 29 Posted January 29 He man, this is very chill song, it has this happy sad felling about it. Like if you had a depression but you are good now and you look in to the fture and believe its all gonna be good 😄 . One thing, around 1:05 i think there is too much going on with the strings, im not sure but i think if u toned it down a little it would be better. Other than that i have no complains :] I really enjoyed it, nice work! Quote
Crackers Posted February 6 Author Posted February 6 Thank you very much! I'm trying to build some tension there while holding back just enough to save the big explosion for the final part. 🙂 The fact that you're not telling me it's missing anything makes me feel better. I was thinking of adding a vocal line on top of the track, but I'm not sure if it would sound good. Do you guys think a voice over it would fit? Quote
General Pokopo Posted February 11 Posted February 11 Hey, It all depend on execution. I guess if you have an idea you should at least give it a try. Quote
