Henry Ng Tsz Kiu Posted Sunday at 11:19 AM Posted Sunday at 11:19 AM Hi @nostalgia, I like the opening texture with tone clusters in left hand and the harmless melody in the right hand. It sounds like while you are contemplating in your right hand the rain is mesmerising in the left hand. I like the development as well. I like at the end the mind is not disturbed by the somber mood finally. I think b.21 and 22 is not playable at all by most pianist with the right hand playing a tenth simultaneously, unless you don’t need them to be played together. Thx for sharing! Henry Quote
Luis Hernández Posted Sunday at 11:32 AM Posted Sunday at 11:32 AM Also a very nice and interesting piece. However, although it has a clear part structure, it seems to me that it does not have as much directionality as others. I still think that the score is thought from a “theoretical” point of view in terms of its playability. I think that the same could be written simplifying those parts where the hands are crossing for a fast note, etc... Quote
MJFOBOE Posted Sunday at 05:11 PM Posted Sunday at 05:11 PM The music absolutely reflects your intent ... as you stated it in your posting. It is an interesting work full of dissonance; however, there is a lovely/intimate musical lyricism - that rings through out. Mark Quote
