A Child's Walk

Hi all,

This composition is called A Child's Walk.  Over the years I have revisited the work .... this version (4th) and has some new transitions, orchestration and a brand new ending.

Imagine a young girl going about her walk and encountering lots of interesting encounters along the way.  She has a very lively theme ... which by the way is my cell phone ring!

The opening is very funny with funny woodblock and cheeky rhythm and texture, sounds very like a child play! The whole piece is just fascinating to listen to and I have nothing to add. Thx for sharing!

I like the way you draw so much material out of the simple catchy motif at the heart of this piece.

Alex thanks for your comments .... This was my first foray into orchestral composition and holds a special place for me.   By the way ... I just listened to it again ... guess what ... I will tweak the ending once more!  Just a quick return to her theme (as she runs home) before the last measure .
