PCC Posted April 16 Posted April 16 (edited) EDIT: SORRY I MADE A TRANSCRIPTION ERROR LET ME FIX IT EDIT2: pdf file is fixed but the audio I need to fix it later as well EDIT3: audio revamped The original work by Henry Since Henry insisted I post this as my own work, here it is. Bear in mind I have only played the organ for less than once per week for a few months, please comment any improvements that could be made. I tried to give different stop voices in the system but the sounds don't go very balanced and apparently the vibratos are pre-recorded and can't be removed, but it kind of gives the right impression I suppose. If I ever get competent enough I might try recording it for real Edited April 17 by PCC MP3 Play / pause JavaScript is required. 0:00 0:00 volume > next menu MM2HN soundmix > next PDF MM2HN 3 Quote
Luis Hernández Posted April 17 Posted April 17 It sounds fantastic! I really like the organ and its ability to color with the cantidd of timbres available, when used well. As it happens here. I think the original composition is well suited to the instrument, or the other way around, by virtue, of course of a good arrangement. Just an observation about the “agitato” passage from measure 34. I think the chords in the middle part sound too “abrupt”. I don't know, maybe it's the intention, but what strikes me most is the transition to the next part in measures 41-42, which does sound sudden. Thanks for sharing. Regards. 2 Quote
Henry Ng Tsz Kiu Posted Thursday at 11:16 AM Posted Thursday at 11:16 AM Hey @PCC! I am very grateful you have made this organ arrangement of my Moment Musical! I actually love the version you sent me before when the 1st theme is played by prinzipale, but for the 2nd themes I love your usage of different colours here more! I love that you add much more colour in your arrangement, while my original piano version is more contemplative and personal, here is more grand and colourful! Also I love your slight change of passages, for example b.32 and b.38 to 41. In fact the change of melody in b.32 is also suggested by a viewer on YouTube, I think the change is great! Though my original intention is to remain introspective with a lower arch of melody, here it’s more melodic. And I love your arrangement in b.34 to 41, very effective in organ, and in b.38 changing from original Bb minor to Eb minor add some varieties too. Thx very much for your arrangement. I deeply appreciate it! Henry Quote
PeterthePapercomPoser Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Hi @PCC! Great job with this arrangement! I was having trouble hearing the bass part in some of the sections so I turned on my bluetooth speaker but it kept glitching out like crazy with the sound cutting in and out constantly which made it unlistenable (and this happened only in the "principale" sections - it played the rest of the piece just fine for some reason). So I know that my inability to hear some of the bass parts was in part due to the speakers on my Chromebook. But I also question whether there might be something in the recording itself that makes my bluetooth speaker behave the way it did in the principale sections? Either way - I think I got the gist of your intent in how it's supposed to sound. Thanks for sharing! 1 Quote
PCC Posted 4 hours ago Author Posted 4 hours ago It's a limitation of how I use MS probably. irl I would couple the manuals to the pedalboard so the bass would sound more prominent irl 1 Quote
