Will Kirk Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 Mark, A Bouree is typically a dance in the French style, I don't know a massive amount about the particular style but I hope that helps. :D Quote
Mark Posted November 8, 2006 Author Posted November 8, 2006 I asked my guitar teacher and he said the only specifics are that it is in simple time and is annacrusic, I'm going to rewite and post again in a bit Quote

The bourree is of french origin and is similar to a gavotte. Quote
Mark Posted November 8, 2006 Author Posted November 8, 2006 amended to suit the needs of anyone searching for a description of a bourree! never thought of that! Quote
NerdsFCNick Posted November 9, 2006 Posted November 9, 2006 isn't it a sort of hat thing the french wear? Quote
nojtje Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 It is certainly similar to a Gavotte, the only 'formal' difference being that a gavotte will have half a bar as an anacrusis (in 4/4 time this means 2 beats), and a bourr Quote
