I asked my guitar teacher and he said the only specifics are that it is in simple time and is annacrusic, I'm going to rewite and post again in a bit

Yeah, you just need a quick duple time. The bourree is of french origin and is similar to a gavotte.

It is certainly similar to a Gavotte, the only 'formal' difference being that a gavotte will have half a bar as an anacrusis (in 4/4 time this means 2 beats), and a bourr
