That's because Mozart is famous for reusing melodic phrases nearly everwhere.

Haha, before I knew much about Prokofiev, I'd hear the famous "March" from Love for Three Oranges in his other pieces and get really confused.

Then it happened again while listening to Love For Three Oranges shortly after Star Wars. The similarities are so uncanny, one can only think John Williams had a special fondness for Prokofiev :whistling:

Do you ever get deja vu when listening to a piece of music? I get them all the time when I listen to Mozart sonatas.

I believe it's intended. Mozart was a master at making musical connections that sometimes aren't easily identified. "It fits", but sometimes the reason why is ellusive. That's part of the genius. And I love it.
