ryankennyz Posted January 15, 2007 Posted January 15, 2007 For my senior project, I am composing a song and arranging it for wind ensemble, but all i've ever done before is extemporaneous composition on piano. This is a huge task for me, and I am utilizing Sibelius and a midi keyboard to make it more efficient, but I don't have much arranging knowlege. If you could give me some words of wisdom or point me to a source, book, or person who could help me it would be beneficial-thanks- Quote
Spectrums Posted January 15, 2007 Posted January 15, 2007 Look in a book store for books on theory. They shouldn't be too hard to find. There is a couple books out there on composition and instrumentation, so you can look for those as well. Look at other members' work; you get an idea of how it sounds the way it does with the given instrumentation. Quote
Mitchell Posted January 15, 2007 Posted January 15, 2007 Exactly what type of wind ensemble are you talking about? Quote
