luderart Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 What is the happiest piece of music ever composed? You can give several suggestions, or you can say: the happiest symphony, the happiest piano sonata, the happiest concerto, the happiest opera, the happiest trio, etc. Quote
Keerakh Kal Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 I'm not a big fan of pieces in major keys, I don't know why, so I don't know any happy songs. Now that you mention it, I've never really heard a song that made me happy... ~Kal Quote
zentari Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 Well, all them "strum und drang" things are very happy... But more on topic, I'd have to say whenever I hear Messiah all the way through.. no, Israel in Egypt... or maybe Radamisto... (or just about any other Handel oratorio or opera, except for Orlando... sad opera), I'm just happy... Handel knew how to write final choruses that could leave the listener awestruck (or bored, if you dislike him). Quote
