Guest Anders Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 Would be possible to add some new skins? YC default and Tangerine both grate on my eyes, and Blue lightning is messy... Quote
Mark Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 I'm quite fone of YC default, and the others annoy me, because it doesn't look like 'YC' anymore  Quote
bob_the_sane Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 Yeah, the default theme pawns! How comeyou don't like it? Quote
Mike Posted May 17, 2007 Posted May 17, 2007 By the way, for anyone who is reading and/or aware, the front page and therefore wiki appears to have been rendered broken after chopin upgraded the software, or something like that. I would fix it, but I can't, since I don't work with the wiki. Playing the waiting game is in order. :) Quote
Mike Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 Pardon me. Tell you what, so I know there's going to be demand for anything new added, how about anyone concerned has a browse through this forum and picks out skins that take their fancy? vBulletin 3.6 Styles - vBulletin.org Forum One caveat: vB Version should be at least 3.6.6 ideally. 3.6.5's doable, though. bob_the_sane Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 It looks cool, but like Mark said, it just wouldn't look like "YC". Doesn't really matter anyway... Quote
Guest Anders Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 You don't have to use it if Mike decides to add it. It would merely be added to the list of available skins. Quote
bob_the_sane Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 Yeah, I know, that's why I said it doesn't matter... Anyway, Bounce That Blueberry Bounce. Quote
Mike Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 Red skin should be selectable now. Some images may not show until they have finished being uploaded to the server. Quote
Guest Anders Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 Mike, this is f'ing amazing. Thanks a lot. This is so easy on my poor eyes. And it conserves electricity! Is it completely impossible to adapt the emoticons to the skin, though? Quote
Mike Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 Is it completely impossible to adapt the emoticons to the skin, though? Not impossible, but far, far too much work. ;) By the way, I'm also uploading a couple of the other colours that come in the package. They're there, may as well. (By the way #2: can't see a "View New Posts" link for this skin...unless it's actually present and I'm being an idiot, I'll add it in shortly) Quote
robinjessome Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 Dunno if this is important, but my 'pager messages' link at the top disappears with the new skins. Private message is okay, but the pager link goes AWOL... ... Quote
Mike Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 Well spotted - have fixed that now. Also fixed a problem preventing pager messages being received with the new skins...do let me know if it has remained at all. Quote
robinjessome Posted May 29, 2007 Posted May 29, 2007 Well spotted - have fixed that now. ;) Also, a possible fix for the missing View New Posts button...could it perhaps be put under the Quick Links heading? Not a great solution, but at least it'd be there...I'm really missing it! [edit] Oops...I just noticed where you'd put it...Nevermind! Quote
Mike Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 Heh. I've moved it to above the navbar now, where it should be more prominent. :) Quote
Hands Posted May 31, 2007 Posted May 31, 2007 Dark Yellow is teh shizz. Goes nicely with my avatar. Thanks, Mike. Quote
James H. Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 I'm using the dark green one briefly here to get a taste for it.... and I find the text a little hard to read. Could the colour of all dark green text be changed to #6F8255? Onmouseover could be #B7C0AA. Both of these colours are already somewhere in the colour scheme, I just picked them out. Just a thought, I think it needs to be a little more readable. What version of vB do we have here? Maybe you could note that somewhere in the sitewide footer along with "Powered by vBulletin" ect. ect. Anyways, a few skins I like: vB 3.7 Webber Classic - vBulletin.org Forum Rooq Classic - vBulletin.org Forum - this is okay for a generic "plain" skin vb 3.6 Chestnut Style - vBulletin.org Forum - "Chesnut" I REALLY LIKE THIS ONE!! :w00t: BlaK-Ice - vBulletin.org Forum - I prefer this MUCH over the our current dark themes vB 3.5 (I think, ... I found these on another forum... quite simple skins, are they usable?) vB Skins - Powered by vBulletin - some light green Grr... well, I'll keep looking for more, I'm getting called for dinner... *leaves* Quote
virtualshock Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 ooooooooooooo The chestnut is beatiful Quote
James H. Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 I knoooooo0oooooow, that's why I suggested it. I'd like to see it in demo form though.... *searches for such a thing* EDIT: .... here's one: vBSkinConcept.com - Quote
bob stole my cookie Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 It is pretty... but making buttons that match a skin can be a scallop. Then again, unless you like pulling teeth, making skins can be a scallop  A few new skins would definitely be nice though... or a "moldy peach v2.0" Quote
