Marius Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 Mmmm...I have just the piece. I'll be in touch once I get back from my summer trip. :)
Rafn Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 Woodwind quintet?! That's exciting. I always feel at a disadvantage because I was raised a winds player instead of a strings player. I'm very excited for this; thanks for the opportunity.
James H. Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 Yes, I may do this. Keyword 'may' For I have never actually wrote for wind quintet. I've arranged for it, but that's another deal.
tenor10 Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 ok that is def. my next thing to work on. thanks for posting aeros!!!
yyoppp Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 Your playing at carnegie Hall? Thats AWESOME!!! I think I'll compose something for this.
Marius Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 Okay, my piece is finally edited and ready to send. I'm mailing it out this week :)
piano_player18 Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 Okay, my piece is finally edited and ready to send. I'm mailing it out this week :) Good luck! I'm writing something in my head right now...I'd rather write it for orchestra or band, but this is do. I'm not great at writing serious works for small ensembles, but I can write some whacked out happy music that makes you want to bouncy up and down and dance...lol. However, I did think about using this piece of mine and transcribing it: http://www.youngcomposers.com/forum/race-finish-10697.html
piano_player18 Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 If you look at the rules carefully...you will notice that they are requesting parts to be sent with the score. THAT means that if they like what you have sent them, they will more than likely sit down and actually sight read the piece. Which means...THIS IS NOT AN OPPORTUNITY TO PASS UP! I need to get to work on this...I've been spending countless hours on the orchestra suite for the Harry Potter Competition...lol.
