    I really love making melodies and harmonies, but the thought of mastering and editing, as well as editing the default instruments when all the digital instruments sucks, turns me away from even thinking about making music. It's a problem I never really had until a few years ago when I started to try to master and EQ the sounds for my songs. Before I cared, and just strapped a soundgoodizer on there, I could make full length songs that had melodies I really loved very easily, but now that I try for professional quality I just can't even bring myself to do it. And when I do I never find my music "good enough". Any way to get past this, other than "Just do it"? If I had high quality orchestral instruments I would just make orchestral and piano music, but since I don't I have to step far outside my comfort zone and make this type of music. I'll place an example of a song I didn't master or do any post production on a few years ago, first file, and also show a part of a 'recent' unfinished song that I really tried to make sound professional, but could not.     Stage Fright

    Recently I performed at two concerts, a general school one and one for some elderly folks from a local retirement home. Both times I played pieces that I have practiced, ruthlessly, for well over a year now; both times I barely managed to finish. My hands shook violently, which is an issue for a classical guitarist wrapping his left hand around a grade 8 piece, and the hand sweat was terrible. I left both concerts feeling shaken and utterly miserable, and my butchering of both pieces in front of audiences has somewhat undermined my confidence. In short, I suffered from stage fright, and quite badly. I was just wondering if anyone else here suffers from a problem like this, and whether they have any personal tips for coping during a performance. I was kinda hoping to do more concerts to considerably larger groups of people in future, so any support and advice would be much appreciated!
