I have been unhappy with my production as of late, so I decided to work on a piece for much longer than I normally do, and these is the unfinished results of my time. "A drop of color - For Wind Band (Rough Draft, Unfinshed)". Critique and review are very welcome. Please keep in mind that this is a very rough draft, and none of the visual weirdness or engraving issues will be present in the final score. https://youtu.be/4KUo4SZu5UA

Hey everyone, Here is the piece I composed this semester for my composition lessons at university. It's about 18 minutes long, so if you only want to listen to and review a small portion, that's totally fine. This piece is still under revisions, so any feedback is welcome. Thanks! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C2Z780ZKZIY

I've just finished a new song for large jazz ensemble called "Fear No Fifth." After mucking about in the 1950s/early 60s for my last couple of songs, I think I've finally graduated into the mid-1970s with a Tower of Power-type big-band something-or-other. I guess it's basically a blues with an extended vamp during the solos, the type of song that Count Basie or Duke Ellington could have knocked off in about a day and a half; I've been working on it since March. Anyway, I hope you like it. I can post the score if anyone's interested.

Interstellar Horizon for Concert Band is my biggest and most ambitious project yet! It is my first fully completed concert band piece. It is to convey the beauty and danger of interstellar space travel in about 5 different phases.
