Hello. I know this has been awhile since posted. Writing has been rather slow. Alas, I present a new piece: a waltz for strings and harp. It is 95% done. Here's what I need you guys check: 1: Harmony-Please make sure there is no counter point errors and such 2. Form: Go through this with mircosponic. i can take it 3. String writing: Check balance and such. Your feedback will be greatly appreciate

(Skip to 6:51 6:41 (sorry, typo.) for Movement II, if you've already reviewed "Movement I", or, the original completed work. Updates were made, in plenty for the 1st movement, however, if those who've seen it already felt like giving it another go ;] ) So, I sent just the MP3 Audio via email to a local symphony orchestra ensemble, for Shucks and Bubbles, in case maybe they'd humor me. They reviewed it, in its entirety (how nice of them :D). I already knew they'd finished score collection and rehearsal for their events happening over the next 3-4 months, and mentioned this in my message to them. But, they told me they'd Consider looking it over with the ensemble if I were to extend the music's length, and make some adjustments to the balancing and notation of the first score... So I opted to make it into a 2-part music piece... Please, if anyone is willing, I'd like to know, firstly, since I'm not educated on proper score formatting, if my format and grammar is "ok"... Not looking for perfection, but just simply want to avoid getting the single eyebrow-raise whenever they look at my actual score XD. and Lastly, I'm not entirely too sure how to proceed with the second movement. It's cut off right where I lost momentum, essentially. I also haven't completed filling out some of the voicings in some of the phrases nearing the end of the score, but have already fleshed out some ideas 🙂 see complete score in the orchestra forum! -

Hello Everyone! I'm Emile, I'm 18 years old and I'm from a little island called Aruba in the Caribbean. I'm really passionate about Music, I'm a Classical/Romantic Composer/Pianist and started to compose when I was 12 and started with the piano at 14(able to play late Beethoven sonatas). And I've started to try my best to be known out there currently working on a piano concerto in f minor, string quartets and I'm looking forward to meeting all of you and getting involved in the great things happening here on this forun. This is the 12 variations on a theme in C major. But this is the 11th Variation! this is my first Toccata and First Fugue! this toccata took me several weeks and i was inspired by the intro of his Choral Fantasy when i first listened to it! and i decided to dedicate this to Beethoven because I finish the piece a day before his birthday. Dedicated to (Departed) Ludwig van Beethoven, Birthday of the Year 2023 P.S - The 3 voice fugue is not in strict form it's a wander/sonata form 12 Variations and Nocturne for Viola and Piano on a theme in C Major.mid -

In the last months I worked hard at my first small symphony. Spending some forgotten hours late at night to write notes in that marvellous app StaffPad. Slowly the story came to life. With this composition “The Boy Who Wanted To Fly” as an end result! I really challenged myself this time. I wanted to compose a classical story. A symphonic story. One that takes you by the hand and feeds your imagination. You have to know, I'm still a beginner. This is the second composition I wrote by hand. So any feedback, advise is much appreciated! About the process, I wrote it by hand in StaffPad. Exported the STEMS and mixed and mastered in my beloved DAW Logic Pro. The music is available on Youtube with the short story in the video and on every major streaming platform. So when you enjoy listening to it, you could add it to one of your favourite playlists.
